The loudest game of any Onam celebration. Two teams grip a single length of rope and pull until one side crosses the centre line — simple to understand, impossible to watch quietly, and the fastest way to find out which team really pulls together.

How it works

• 2Teams are matched fairly on the spot by the game marshals
• 3A pull is won when the centre marker crosses your team's line
• 4Best of three pulls decides each round
• 5Slipping, sitting or wrapping the rope around the body is not allowed
