🌺 Onam Pookalam Competition

About this program

Startup teams lay out a pookalam — the traditional Onam floral design — using only fresh flowers and leaves they bring themselves. Teams build through the morning, and results are announced right after the Mahabali procession, followed by the whole-community group photo.

Guidelines

• 1Open to startup teams
• 2Each team can have 3 to 6 members
• 3Only fresh flowers and leaves are allowed
• 4Maximum size: 6 feet
• 5The outer surfaces must be rounded
• 6No additional materials such as nirapara or nilavilakku are permitted
• 7Black flowers or leaves are not allowed
• 8The company emblem or logo will not be permitted
• 9Teams must bring their own materials
• 10The design should reflect the spirit of Onam
• 11The judges' decision will be final
